Officer Cadet Kirstin Taylor has received the Chief of the Defence Force Prize, from Admiral Beaumont, at the Australian Defence Force Academy Graduation Parade held in Canberra.

The parade was reviewed by the Governor-General and Commander-in-Chief, the Honourable Bill Hayden.

Officer Cadet Taylor graduated as the President of the Mess Committee of The Corps of Officer Cadets Mess at the Defence Academy. The award of the Air Force Prize acknowledges her personal excellence in both her potential as a future air force officer and her application to her academic studies at the academy.

Officer Cadet Taylor is continuing her studies at the Defence Academy in 1994, undertaking an Honours Year for her Bachelor of Arts degree specialising in History. On completion, Officer Cadet Taylor should commence duties as a Supply Officer in the RAAF in January, 1995.
